What timber do we use?

As a rule we use Kiln Dried C24 Regularised Timber treated with UC3 or UC4 due to its unbeatable strength and durability to ensure you are able to enjoy your deck for as long as possible

We typically use treated timber boards for the majority of the decking, these boards are kiln dried to increase stability and also resistant to water.

As a result of being treated these boards are protected against rot, fungi and water.

All deck boards come from responsibly sourced wood.

As for what we use to ensure safe access to your decking. We install walksure boards on all of our steps as it provides an attractive alternative to traditional timber decking and a safe, slip-resistant surface in wet or dry conditions.

WalkSure® decking is PEFC certified and has a 15-year guarantee against rot and fungal decay, subject to correct installation and treatment of cut timber.

WalkSure® is rated as 'low potential for slip', tested to BS 7976 part 2

For our ramps we use Gripsure decking boards made of High-quality Northern European Redwood Pine as they provide excellent grip and saftey while ensuring minimal resistance for wheel chairs and pushchairs.

These boards are low maintenance and boast a durability class 3 in accordance with EN350 and have a expected service life of 15-20 years.

These boards are not exclusively for ramps and can be used for the entirety of the decking to provide all weather grip throughout your decking if that was soemthing you wished to implement
